TORIGUN SONGBIRDS BY SATO

I am loving these Torigun (Japanese songbirds wearing military uniforms). These delightful illustrations were drawn by Japanese artist Sato. If you like birds illustrations, (and in a totally different style), you might enjoy as well  the Flora Fauna birds by Josh Brill.

HENRY HARGREAVES: FOOD OF THE RAINBOW

Henry Hargreaves first experience in photography was in front of the camera as a model for fashion house such as Prada, Yves Saint Laurent and Jil Sander and worked with the top photographers increasing its interest in this area. Four years ago he rented a studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn shooting fashion and still life for clients such as Ralph Lauren, New York Magazine, GQ, NYLON, Boucheron, Marie Claire amongst others. MATTHEW BRODIE: PAPER DRESSES

It’s always nice to see a fashion spread that brings more to the plate than just the latest runway looks. In his Madame magazine spread, “Paper Dresses”, art director Matthew Brodie not only crafts his own props and set, he designs a whole collection of actual paper dresses, as well.

With some A3 sheets and a lot of perseverance, Matthew and his team—including a former pattern cutter and designer for John Galliano—create five complete dresses.

Cukui x Material6 iPhone 4 Case

Cukui present a new series of iPhone 4 cases featuring original artwork from tattoo artist Orly Locquiao. Each is produced by Material6 and is offered in three wood options, including Robel Burl, Figeuroa and Birds Eye Maple. For those wondering, the case is compatible for both the Verizon & AT&T iPhone 4. An official release is scheduled for November 1, 2011, but all three can now be pre-ordered here.

Back 4 the Future: The Most Famous Shoe Never Made

Great Scott! Nike has released a limited edition shoe based on the original movie prop used in Back to the Future Part II. One Thousand Five-Hundred Nike MAGs, made famous by Michael J. Fox’s Hoverboarding character Marty McFly, are being auctioned off on eBay with proceeds appropriately going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

It was an ordinary evening at Lone Pine Mall. All Kevin Durant wanted was a new pair of shoes. Then the space-time continuum showed up…

‘MAGNUM ART’ AD CAMPAIGN

The new Magnum Temptation print ad campaign is an explosion of flavor‘Expialidocious’ – “Magnum Art” showcases beautiful explosions of color and flavors in rich, intense and effective prints. Photographers Diver & Aguilar, were commissioned by Spanish advertising agency Lola,to explore the possibilities of this concept. And the result is pretty stunning!

“Magnum has developed a technology,allowing them to include liquid filled chocolates into their Ice Creams. They Developed a new forming process based around continuous extrusions that allows them to shape in three dimensions whilst dosing the inclusions.”
